Mobile Interpretive Park Center

Thanks to a generous grant through the Maryland Heritage Area program we are proud to announce the Mobile Interpretive Park Center!

We are underway! Like many of our programs, our MIPC project is running behind schedule to due to the COVID19 Pandemic – but, the vehicle is now at Off Grid Adventure Vans (our van “upfitter”) and is being built out for use at PVSP!

The Mobile Interpretive Park Center is supported by:

Our new Sprinter Van! Thank you Catonsville Mercedes Benz for your support in acquiring this awesome, 4×4 machine!
The interior of the MIPC will be built out to hold items for park wide (and beyond) visitor outreach, emergency services and transportation of the park’s popular Scales & Tales program!

In 2020 Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park and the Maryland Park Service will launch a sprinter van that will travel throughout the park (and beyond) and function as mobile visitors center. The MIPC will be staffed by Spanish speaking park rangers and be full of bilingual activities. We looking forward to supporting our diverse stewardship community!
