Dear Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park,
With the unpredictable weather ahead and the State of Emergency declaration issued by the State of Maryland, we have received notification from park management indicating that the 2018 Patapsco Trail Fest must be canceled.
This cancellation has not been an easy decision. The park and our team have worked very hard to host the event as scheduled. Trail Fest is a collaborative effort across user groups and the cancellation is a disappointment to all of us.
With Hurricane Florence upon us and the uncertainty of its impact, we are unable to move ahead with the planned rain date. This confluence of events inhibits the time required to organize the infrastructure to host a safe and enjoyable event.
We are grateful for our sponsors and partner organizations and to our diverse community of trail users committed to the stewardship of our shared natural resource.
Stay tuned, we are planning a party to distribute all these shirts and prizes.
