Patapsco Trail Fest was created to unite all of Patapsco’s user groups. We wanted PVSP Trail Fest to truly benefit the users of the park with great events for all disciplines. Mountain biking, Trail Running, Hiking, Camping and many other events were included within the weekend!
The Patapsco Trail Fest, A Rally in the Valley is the trail event for all ages, abilities and user groups. The event includes two nights of camping, guided hikes, a mountain bike race, ride and enduro, and a half and full off-road marathon.
In every activity, there were distances and levels of difficulty designed specifically for kids and families. We are excited about this format and we think it’s a great fit for the park and it’s diverse group of users!
… And yeah, beer gardens, demo and food trucks, playgrounds etc. etc.

Patapsco Trail Fest included an Enduro, 33 Mile Ride, and 50K Race for all levels of riders. We are lucky to have such a great mountain biking community here in Patapsco, and we want everyone to get together for some great riding and large celebration with all of the other users!
There were a variety of Trail Running events for all types of runners! Sunday was the big day for all running activities. A Marathon, Half Marathon, and 8k are being offered to truly test endurance as well as a 1-Mile Kids Fun Run!
A Long Hike, a Medium Length Hike, and a Short Family Oriented Hike all went out on Saturday. All Hiking trips were fully supported. This was a great way to see some of the fantastic views that Patapsco Valley has to offer!
The event was presented by a coalition of nonprofits including MORE, Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park, Old Line Velo, Adventures For The Cure, the Patapsco Valley 50K, the Patapsco Heritage Greenway and the Mountain Club of Maryland. We owe a huge thanks to all of our sponsors and vendors that supported us, and hope to see everyone again next year!
