PVSP’s Mobile Visitors Center(MVC) travels the Patapsco Valley and introduces our visitors to the park and opens opportunities for stewardship and support of PVSP. The MVC is supported by our partners at REI, Patapsco Heritage Greenway, the Community Foundation of Howard County, The Chesapeake Bay Trust, Mercedes Benz of Catonsville, and the Maryland Heritage Area Authority – support the MVC by clicking the above photo.
Patapsco Valley State Park has incredible climbing opportunities – our ongoing partnership with Mid Atlantic Climbing provides opportunities for all ages on the crag!
In 2021 we constructed the first event loop in a Maryland State Park. The Schools Out Trail is designed to NICA standards and was built in partnership with MICL and REI – click the image to support trails for student-athletes!
After a one-year Covid sabbatical Cocktails for Trails came back with a bang in 2021 – our annual fundraiser builds community and helps fund Patapsco Trail Fest – click on the above image to support the Patapsco Community.

Our volunteers make a difference at Patapsco Valley State Park. Each year, the Patapsco Fun Series contributes thousands of hours to building and maintaining PVSP’s 220+ miles of natural surface trails
We are working with our partner organizations to support the diverse user of PVSP. In 2021, our partners at the Patapsco Valley Disc Golf Club held a two day disc golf tournament as part of Patapsco Trail Fest – click the above image to support disc golf at PVSP.
Patapsco Trail Fest 2021 included two days of Adaptive Mountain Biking with our partners from Catalyst Sports. The overwhelming support for our Adaptive Programs has resulted in the construction of the first designated Adaptive Mountain Bike loop in a Maryland State Park – click on the above image to support our Adaptive Programs.

The Patapsco trail system provides some of the most challenging trail runs in the Mid Atlantic. With over 200 miles of trails that reach Elkridge, Catonsville, Ellicott City, and Woodstock – how can you beat a great run followed by amazing food and drink?!
Our Adaptive Paddling programs are presented in collaboration with Team River Runner, Baltimore Canoe and Kayak, and Kennedy Krieger – there is great paddling on the Patapsco for every user!
Patapsco Trail Fest is the largest event in Patapsco Valley State Park. The event spans three days and includes camping, mountain biking, trail running, paddling, climbing, disc golf, hiking, and adaptive mountain biking and paddling – it’s a weekend celebrating the PVSP community.
